Praise and Prayer Requests for April 24, 2011

Praise and Prayer from Sunday's class (with addenda)

- Continue to pray for Pam, Trey, and Adison - for God's peace, protection, comfort - that they will be knit together in love - for wisdom.
- Continue to pray for Vic's father (Vic and Lori are friends of Sam and Lisa's, Vic's father bitten by dog.) The doc's were able to sew Vic's father back together w/o major reconstructive surgery. Good news. Lots of healing to come.
- Sunday Tom didn't know all his good news regarding the VA, but now we join with him in praise of God's goodness and provision.
- Keith offered praise that Ashlee was able to praise God in song at the funeral.
- Rhonda and Bill and Alex are safely home.
- Ed and Janine and family are safely home.
- Praise for Scott's birthday this week.
- Pray for the peace of Israel.
- Betsy asked prayer for God's healing for her children.
- Chip offered continued praise for his cousin's attitude and God's work in the cousin's cancer treatment. Continue to pray for healing.
- Betsy offered praise that her friend Linda went peacefully home to be with Jesus this week.
- Meredith offered praise for hopeful signs of her mother's continued adjustment to her dad's death as she is active with family the next few weeks.
- Pray for a friend of Meredith's who is ill and apparently the docs are having problems settling on a diagnosis/treatment. Pray for wisdom, healing, peace.
- Pray for all the high school and college kids as they come home this summer. They need productive activities and, in many cases, jobs.
- Pray for the students, teachers, and parents as all press on toward the end of this school year.
- From Kim, pray for Zack's friend Tosh and his faith.
- Pray for the pastor search committee, and always, for ABC leadership cadre and staff.
- Join Rachel in praise that she has been accepted to UNC. Pray for the hours in each day to multiply and that God would bless her and many others through her.

Praise and Prayer Requests from today's class -

- Pray for Pam, Trey, and Adison. For comfort and peace. That all their needs will be met. For friends to come alongside.
- Pray traveling mercies for Bill, Rhonda, and family and Ed, Janine and family.
- Remember the tornado victims.
- Pray for Betsy's friend Linda, now completely on life support but with a DNR order. That God's will for Linda would be worked out soon. Pray for Bert. Pray for Betsy.
- Our prayers for Ashlee's singing today were answered. She sang beautifully.
- Pray for our nation, its leaders, its direction.
- Pray for Tom - pain management, health, VA
- Angie asked that we pray for safety for Mackenzie and Nathan, who are working tornado relief at a horse farm near Sanford.

Praise and Prayer requests from today's class

- Tom's nephew continues to be very ill with the undiagnosed GI problems. Pray for healing and wisdom for doctors.
- Tom's mother is bedridden. Pray for wisdom and healing.
- Jeanine's brother got a good test report in that his melanoma does not appear to have spread. Reconstructive surgery is ahead of him following the cancer removal. Pray for healing.
- Tom asked prayer for a friend who has lost his wife and daughter in two separate auto accidents over about 2 years. Pray for peace and comfort.
- Betsy asked that we pray similarly for the family of Linda, her friend who is very ill with difficult family decisions ahead. Pray for healing, peace, comfort, and good decisions. Pray that the Lord move in the lives of her sister and brother.
- Kathy V. asked that we pray for her neighbor.
- Kathy V. asked prayers for wisdom regarding when to start a new Bible study at the YMCA.
- Yvonne offered praise that Lowe's aunt's caregiver is a believer. Pray that the aunt will draw closer to the Lord.
- Meredith offered praise that her mother was better this week.
- Kathy V. offered praise for Operation InAsMuch on Saturday.
- Betsy asked prayer for herself (and by extension, for all of us) - for comfort, hope, and peace - as real life swirls around us.
- Tom reminded us to pray for our government and the peace of Jerusalem.

Praise and Prayer Requests for April 3, 2011

Praise and Prayer from this week's class

- Praise from Scott and Lisa for a safe and good trip to NYC to see Alexis sing in Carnegie Hall.
- Praise from Doug and Kathy for a good visit to St. Pete and safe travels.
- Praise for Scott's brother's successful surgery and very encouraging outlook.
- Continued praise for Bill's dad's successful surgery. Continue to pray as doctors followup.
- Betsy offered praise for a good report from Duke docs re David's knee. He is cleared for sports. Also from Betsy, praise that her mother's lymphoma seems to be ok at this time. 3 months before next appointment.
- No word as yet on whether we're going to be able to get the NCSU foreign students to a covered dish at Doug and Kathys. Pray for that ministry opportunity to develop in whatever way God intends.
- Meredith asked prayer for her (recently widowed) mother, who is still grieving and looking for purpose. She offered praise (last week) for a great trip to England with her mother.
- Continue to pray for Danny as he works through the pain of a bad knee and bad hip.
- Pray for Tom as he returns from a weekend camping with Sam. Pray for doctors, pain management, and progress with VA.
- Pray for summer jobs for our soon to be over-summering college students.
- Pray for Paige as she seeks to fill VBS positions for this summer (wk of 20 June.) Lots of kids and lots of openings on the org chart.
- Remember the Pastor Search Committee in prayer.
- Continue to remember our fallen world, particularly Japan and North Africa/Middle East.
