Praise and Prayer Requests for March 20, 2011

These are the praises and prayer requests from class today.
* Kathy V. gave a praise for the student she is tutoring. She was able to witness to him through her tutoring.
* Rick's brother has been unemployed now for a year. Please pray for wisdom, strength, courage, and encouragement, as well as for a job opportunity to present itself. If anyone is in need of computer services, please let Rick know, as he could pass that along to his brother.
* Lisa W. shared that her neighbor's father has an abscessed colon and asked for prayers for him. Her neighbor, Deborah, will be going to be with her father and leaving her husband to care for their 4 children in her absence. Prayers for the husband and children (Ferrentino family)
* Please continue to lift Rhonda and her family during this time. Bill is away in Laurinburg for the next 3 weeks, and there is a lot on Rhonda's plate still. Prayers for burdens to be lifted.
* Betsy shared that her mom is sick again and will be going to an oncologist. Prayers for Betsy and her mom during this trying time.
* Bill's dad, Woody, was cleared for surgery for colon cancer on March 28 at Rex Hospital.
* Scott's brother will have surgery for colon cancer on Wednesday.
* Scott shared that a friend from his work is adopting a 13 year old boy from the Ukraine. They are now there for 2-3 weeks. Pray that all will go smoothly in the adoption process.
* Lisa & Scott M. will be traveling to NY next week to see Alexis perform at Carnegie Hall. PRAISE!!!!!!!!
* Doug & Kathy will be traveling to St. Petersburg for 2 weeks visiting family.
* Doug & Kathy will also be having a cousin visiting their house tonight, whom they have not seen in 30 years. Pray they will have an opportunity to share Jesus.
* Betsy asked for prayers that she would find meaningful, productive employment.
* Lisa R. shared that one of her 3rd graders had a ruptured appendix this past week, but is expected to recover with no complications. Huge praise as the appendix was ruptured undetected for 10 days!
* Angie asked for prayers for the upcoming sexual purity banquet, that all will come together smoothly.
* Lowe asked for prayers for his ministry, Campus Crusade for Christ as a need for fund raising.
* Kathy Robinson shared an update on her mom, that she is somewhat okay during the day, but at night she tends to be worse. Also, that her husband Scott is not doing well, depressed. Continued prayers for Scott as he needs a pancreas transplant immediately!
* Rachel is waiting to get into the UNC nurse practitioner program. Afterwards, she is planning to be a blessing to heart patients all over Cary!!! You will, Rachel!!!
* Please continue to keep Sam in your prayers as he manages the pain in his arm/hand. Thursday he will have another shot in his neck. Praying he will get relief.

Praise and Prayer for today's class -
- Judy's mother broke her arm a couple of days before her 80th birthday. She's doing well. Pray for healing.
- Scott's brother Sandy has been diagnosed with early-stage colon cancer. Thanksgiving for early detection. Pray for doctor's (surgery 23 March) and healing.
- Chip's cousin (cancer) continuing to have a great attitude. Continue to pray for wisdom regarding the treatment and for healing.
- Chip will be traveling for business the next two weeks.
- Pray for wisdom and mercy and Keith and the family in their relationship with Megen.
- Lisa M. offered praise that the ABC youth "silver ring" programs re purity are having an impact. Pray that continue.
- Pray for a student of Kathy V.'s - that he would hear truth and that Kathy would have God's timing.
- Lisa M. offered praise for sincere and good biblical counsel offered by ABC staff as she seeks wisdom regarding her grandmother.
- Pray for the Tom and Angie's household as they continue to live with the repair work from an attic water leak.
- Pray for healing for Kathy M.'s mom who had fairly recent neck surgery.
- Pray for Yvonne and Lowe's daughter, Ruth, now on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic.
- Pray for the ABC pastor search committee.
- Pray for the Japanese people.
- Pray for Nicolle, a lonely and overwhelmed mother of 5, whom Kathy M. met in an Apex parking lot. Pray for wisdom for Kathy and that Nicolle would provide the opportunity for Kathy to minister God's grace and peace.

Praise and Prayer from todays class
- Tom M. has a 13-yr. old nephew, Adam, who is suffering from an undiagnosed GI syndrome that is now (and has periodically) been very painful. Extensive medical tests have been run. Pray for relief from pain and healing for Adam, wisdom for the doctors and family, and a diagnosis.
- Bill's father, Woody, has operable colon cancer. Surgery is soon. Pray for successful surgery and treatment and healing.
- Continue to pray for Rhonda as she seeks to be a healing balm on family issues. For strength, patience, and wisdom.
- Pray for peace for Kyle's (Casey) family is the loss of his grandmother.
- Pray for healing for Betsy's mother, who continues to have health issues.
- Pray for Lisa M. for wisdom and strength as Lisa seeks to graciously love her grandmother as demands and needs are voiced.
- Pray for all the college students on spring break this week.
- Pray for high school seniors college choices.
- Continue to pray for Tom's VA file as it wends its way through the morass. He had the milogram last week.
- Pray for Lowe and his family as he seeks to witness to the unsaved.
- Pray for growth and protection for all the young brothers and sisters who were born again at Meta this year.
- Pray for Betsy as she seeks to discover her next steps as she looks out a few years.
